KARACHI, November 18: Taking great care and noticing obvious signs of danger, Pakistan Navy successfully intercepted an Indian submarine and prevented it from entering Pakistani waters on Friday.
According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, fleet units of the navy recognised the danger in the shape of an Indian submarine floating secretly near the Pakistan waters possibly spying following which they limited its movement effectively.
The spokesperson said Pakistan naval fleets units chased the Indian submarine before it was sent back.
“This is a proof of Pakistan Navy’s extremely skilled anti-submarine warfare unit,” the Navy spokesperson added. We are vigilant and fully prepared to retaliate any sort of Indian aggression, said the Pakistan Navy spokesperson.
With an uncertain situation along the land borders separating Pakistan and India, this is the first time when Indian Navy has tried to violate sea borders since New Delhi blamed Pakistan-based militants for a raid on an army base in the held Kashmir that killed 19 soldiers. This incident has happened at a time when Chinese ships are also docked at Karachi port to participate in Fourth Pakistan Navy and People’s Liberation Army-Navy (PLA-N) bilateral exercises encompassing harbour and sea phases. -DNA
