Modi’s decision to withdraw currency notes of bigger denomination ,no doubt , temporarily created a public inconvenience in India but in the long run it will boost Indian economy by enabling the government to recover a big amount as tax.The owners of black money would have to pay 45 percent of it to tax authorities to get it whitened and a fair amount of hidden money would thus go to the government coffer. Can’t we follow suit by withdrawing currency notes of Rs5000 1000 and 500 from our markets? What a pity that our governments, both past and present, have been ,instead, giving tax amnesty schemes to the hoarders of black money enabling them to whiten their black money by paying only 2 percent as tax which is peanuts.
As the date of retirement of the Army chief draws near, the common man of the country is sad because after a long time he has seen an Army chief so committed to his job.He is certainly the most popular man in the country today liked by all and sundry. All good things have to come to an end one day. There is no gainsaying the fact that his daring and heroic leadership has broken the back of terrorism in this country to a great extent. One would have wished him to stay on till we have seen the back of the last terrorist but the constitution of the country comes in the way.The common man believes that the present Army chief must have groomed his successor and he hopes that the prime minister will honour the choice of General Rahel Shareef in his selection.

The residents of the locality protest over it.Why can’t the CDA hand over the job to a Chinese firm which intends to dispose it off by generating 12 megawatts of electricity from it?
