On 14th November 2016, Pakistan Navy detected an Indian submarine in Pakistan’s territorial waters. The submarine constantly tried to escape detection but the Pakistan’s Navy fleet chased it clear of its waters.
“Despite the submarine’s desperate efforts to escape detection, it was continuously tracked by the Pakistan Navy fleet units and pushed well clear of our waters,” the Pakistan Navy spokesman said on Friday.
Just like a lot of times in the past, this time too Pakistan Navy was able to successfully track down the location of the submarine and trace it, despite its attempts to evade the Naval forces. This goes to show the immense amount of vigilance and competency that they operate with. Tracking a submarine and successfully keeping it in sight is considered in naval warfare a difficult task to accomplish, as modern day submarines cannot be spotted on sonar radar systems and it seems to have become routine especially after the election of Modi’s government.
The Indian submarine was spotted by a surveillance aircraft which reported the sighting of the submarine as it, for a very brief moment, surfaced. This event is abundantly indicative of the dedication and determination of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Navy’s aeronautical division. It is to show our enemies that our borders are constantly and continuously effectively protected against any external threats and we will exercise strict actions against any breach of Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
This isn’t the first time that India has violated Pakistan’s territorial sovereignty. In February 2016, an Indian Naval ship entered the Pakistani territory through Kajhur Creek and forcibly took a fishing boat, including fishermen, with them. The fishermen were later confirmed to include children as well.
Not only this year, India has been in a habit of disrespecting the International boundaries of its neighbors since its partition. Land hungry government seems to take no notice of the International laws and continues to violate the boundaries. On 11th june 2013, two high-speed Indian aircrafts entered Pakistan airspace by three nautical miles. These aircrafts were intercepted and scrambled by two Pakistani jets, forcing the two aircrafts to leave Pakistani airspace, sending them back to India.
The fact that the Indian aircrafts only managed to enter 3 nautical miles inside Pakistan without being detected is proof in itself of the extremely cautious state of the Pakistani Armed Forces along with its general defensive position against its being. Moreover, this event took place three years prior to the recent event of the Indian Navy violation, which shows that not only are Pakistani forces vigilant during times of political tensions with the neighbor, but are equally effective and efficient throughout the year.
Even though Indian forces have repeatedly breached Pakistani territorial boundaries, and violated agreements the latest stunt pulled by the Indian Navy was definitely to distract Pakistan’s attention from the anti-Indian uprisings taking place in Indian- occupied Kashmir.
While Pakistan Army has been defending its country from continuous violations of space and defending the common people and their rights, taking a rather diplomatic and democratic position due to its physical position in the field, the Indian Army has been causing unprovoked acts of violence, like cross border firing and shelling. It has been targeting villages and civilians in the area, causing much distress. The unprovoked fire recently killed 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. In addition to all the hooliganism that the Indian Forces have been causing, Pakistan Army also shot down an Indian spy drone, sent to Aagahi Post in Rakhchatri sector, and had entered 60 meters inside Pakistan. The remnants of this drone were taken into custody by Pakistan Army. The drone was sent inside to collect information regarding the strategic positions and placements of Pakistan’s troops and assets. This was another violation of cross-border regulation by India, which goes to show the unprofessional attitude or rather disrespectful attitude the country has adopted under Modi’s rule. Pakistan Army immediately sabotaged this illegal and dangerous activity, thanks to its vigilant and dedicated troops. The troops collected the remains of the drone which have since been confiscated.
It can be said that India will not stop at anything to sabotage Pakistan’s march towards peace and stability, which includes the CPEC agreement, which the Indian government had sent spies masquerading as diplomats to sabotage. These spies like Kulbushan Yadav were also busted by the Pakistani forces and taken into custody, displaying the efficient role of Pakistan’s intelligence in defending the country from threats of all sorts.
Since the founding of Pakistan, Pakistan’s armed forces have always not only been at the forefront of defending this country, but have done so with undying valor and extraordinary performance. Time and time again the enemies of this nation, both, internal and external, have vowed to turn Pakistan into a failed state and damage this country greatly in their respective ways. When terrorists infiltrated and repeatedly attempted to take over Pakistan it was the Pakistani armed forces which exhausted all the ways and pushed back all threats they represented and minimizing their overall presence in Pakistan especially by launching Zarb-e-azab operation along with other operations.
Now that the tensions have risen again, due to the materializing CPEC project, which threatens India’s plans of destabilizing the country to fulfill their own personal agenda. Pakistan faces threat from India again and the territorial borders have been on high alert. It will be the armed forces that will again step up and protect their homeland, just like they always have.
