- US Ambassador David Hale meets COAS, discusses war on terror
RAWALPINDI, November 25: Speaking to journalists in Islamabad before leaving for Okara the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif had an informal chat with journalists.
“I have faith that Pakistanis will fight the war against terror. I have faith this land of the pure will get rid of terrorists,” he said.
Speaking about his retirement he said, “I took this decision in favour of the country. I am always available to serve the country.” “Inshallah Pakistan will see good days,” he added.
Meanwhile US Ambassador, David Hale, called on General Raheel Sharif on Friday.
During his farewell visit the US Ambassador appreciated the gains of Pakistan Army in war against terrorism under command of General Raheel.
Meanwhile in his farewell visits, General Raheel Sharif addressed officers and men of 10 Corps at Chaklala Garrison on Friday. He paid rich tributes to the supreme sacrifices of officers and men of Pakistan Army while defending motherland with valour and extreme commitment.
COAS was received by the Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal.-Sabah
