ISLAMABAD, February 08: The Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf has submitted requisition in the National Assembly to hold a debate over the latest crisis involving the Pakistan International Airlines, said PTI’s Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday.
He severally criticized what he said contradictions in government’s policy and the statements with regard to the privatization of the national flag career.
He lamented that the government has placed no importance to Council of Common Interests while dealing with major issues.
“PIA could be turn into a profitable entity. Government should hold talks with protesting employees,” he said.
“Four members of Joint Action Committee went missing, but thankfully they have been recovered,” Shah Mehmood said, adding that the government’s approach towards the protesters was not appropriate.
He said the Essential Maintenance Services Act, the main bone of contention between the employees and the government, was a symbol of dictatorship.-SABAH
