The political atmosphere of the country today stands polluted to a considerable extent.The ruling party in the centre has been facing a two-pronged assault.If on the one hand it is pitted against the PPP,on the other the PTI ‘s pressure on it has been increasing by the day.
Zardari was in the country for a couple of days before he left for the US.Shrewd as he is,the PPP chairperson would review the political situation in the country while sitting pretty in Dubai before making a final decision about his immediate political future.Though Bilawal has been castigating Sharif Brothers for rampant corruption but his political rantings have not been cutting ice with the masses because his father and his near and dear ones were themselves involved from top to bottom whenever they were in power between 2008 and 2013 and even after 2013 uptill now the PPP government ministers continue to make hay while the sun shines for them in Sindh.
Let us admit that it is Imran Khan who has been singlehandedly exposing the financial shenanigans of the Nawaz League leaders .He has been instrumental to a great extent in arousing public awareness against corruption in high places .The PPP leaders are trying very cunningly to jump into the fray,start posing themselves as champions of democracy and hijack the people’s people movement from the hands of the PTI.The man in the street realise that the track record of the PPP is equally bad as that of the Nawaz League and there is very little to chose them from.He is ,therefore ,not going to be taken in by the PPP.
