ISLAMABAD, January 24: : Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday has accused the government of providing Rs 480 billion to those who raised funds for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) during General Elections.
Talking to media outside Supreme Court (SC), Khan said that the government has filed a case in Election Commission to fool the people.
He pronounced that the law states that one who has been accused should present evidence.
He said that all the relatives of Sharif family must be interrogated as the money from which the flats were bought belongs to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. This is the base of our case and we have showed the money trail, he added.
While back firing the opposition, PTI chief said that those who are accusing him have their own issues in a tangled and twisted situation.
He expressed hope that one day the secrets of their political opponents will surface and nation will know their reality. Imran Khan, has once against reiterated his claim that Maryam Nawaz is the real owner of Nelson and Nescol companies.
The PTI chief wondered that Nawaz Sharif owned nothing on record but his children became billionaire. He said that had Sharif family’s name not featured in Panama Leaks, they would have not accepted ownership of the properties abroad at any cost.
He argued that if the revelations of ICIJ were accepted then Sharif family’s case come to not. Imran said that no one named in Panama Leaks from across the globe challenged the findings. He said that PTI was the political party which did political fund raising first time in the history of the country. He dubbed the contempt notice issued to him by Election Commission of Pakistan as a joke.
