Sharif family is trying hard in the Court to establish through its lawyers that each of its members is an independent financial unit, therefore no one is in any case responsible for the acts of the other.
There is no denying the fact that Nawaz Sharif family is one entity and Shahbaz Sharif family is another entity.
In a very recent statement the young son of Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the business of Mian Sharif family went through the process of ‘division, distribution and demarcation’ in the year 2007 which was exactly a year after the date on which Nawaz Sharif’s family in one of its various claims says that the Qatari friend of Mian Sharif had transferred the ownership of the ‘famous’ Mayfair Flats to his successors.
The question that arises here is: Why were Mian Shahbaz Sharif and his sons not regarded as heirs to Mian Sharif, and why was only Hussain Nawaz recognized as the legitimate successor to his grandfather? Was their any certified Will of Mian Sharif in this context? OR was it known to the Shahbaz Sharif family that it had nothing to do with the flats because they were owned by the family of Nawaz Sharif on their own, and not as a part of Mian Sharif’s properties and wealth?
Salman Shahbaz’s claim that Mian Sharif’s ‘wealth’ was distributed among his successors in 2007 means that Mian Sharif had nothing to do with the Mayfair Flats. If the claim is right, the Qatari Prince’s letter becomes no more than a ‘cock & bull’ story.
The fact is that there is no way the Sharif family can get away from the consequences of Maryam Nawaz’s angry rebuttal to Sana Buchha in 2011. She clearly said in her own voice: “I don’t know from where these people are digging out the properties that are being declared as our ownership. The fact is that I don’t own any property abroad—not even in my own country where I am living with my parents. All those stories attributing properties to me or my father or brothers are false.”
Taking a huge U-Turn Madam Maryam has filed a declaration in the Court that she has never been dependent on her father after her marriage.
Was she lying in 2011? Or she is lying now?
Whichever the case, she is a liar.
