ADELAIDE: Pakistan will play for pride in the fifth one-day international against Australia at Adelaide on Thursday, ARY News reported.

Pakistan have already lost the one-day series 3-1.

Australia won the first game at Brisbane by 92 runs. The green shirts bounced back at Melbourne, winning the second one-dayer by six wickets.

The hosts won the third ODI at Perth by seven wickets and clinched the series by winning the fourth one-day international at Sydney by 86 runs.

Having been whitewashed in the test series 3-0 and trailing 3-1 in the ODI series, Pakistan will be looking forward to end their dismal tour on a winning note by winning the fifth ODI.

The team eyeing to end the tour on a winning note, sources said. The players are practicing hard for the match.

Australia has the edge over Pakistan at Adelaide. The two sides have played eight games here out of which Australia has won seven.

Pakistan has been unsuccessful in beating Australia for the past 21 years. They had last beaten the hosts under the leadership of Wasim Akram by 12 runs in 1996. Pakistan has played 18 games at Adelaide and won only four. Their last victory at the venue came against Ireland in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.
