ABDULLAH MUSTAFVI
Do the oppressed masses enjoy fundamental human rights in occupied Kashmir? Do Indian state institutes are functional and capable enough to provide justice to a complainant in Kashmir? Is socio – economic infrastructure is intact in Kashmir? Do PDP government enjoy the confidence of populace or is it still continuation of Puppet regimes with their strings tied in new Delhi? Do Kashmiri youth have requisite opportunities of education and respectable employment. Above all, do Kashmiris feel secured with their necks chained in the name of Indian State’s flawed concept of security,? Obviously, reply to most of these questions is negative. While keeping more than O.7 Million bayonets on the necks of Kashmiris, India regularly weeps about. cross border terrorism with all fingers pointing towards Pakistan. This uninterrupted hypocrisy will last for how long?, Decades long inhuman violence is the root cause of existing bloodshed and strong anti India sentiments in Kashmir. To India ,Kashmir seems not more than a piece of land. All popular democratic principles and universally accepted human rights stand suspended for Kashmiris. Prejudiced Indian leadership is adamant to continue unjustified occupation of Kashmir as any step back would be a great blow to her false ego against Pakistan. Countless murders of innocent Kashmiris are graded righteous to satisfy the venomous prejudiced sense of pride. It is merciless republic which vigorously pursues the slaughter of a cow but remains insensitive upon loss of lives of the Muslims. Kashmir is neither a dispute of land between two states nor it is a quest of securing water resources. It is in fact an issue of fundamental rights of the millions of human beings. Kashmiris can not imagine of routine normal life. They precisely have no feeling of the words like peace, stability and prosperity. All cities, towns, villages and streets have bundle of nerve breaking tragic accounts of inhuman state sponsored violence. Songs of peace have been substituted with tearful cries of widows, orphans and helpless old aged parents. Beautiful green valley is under the ghostly shadow of death where blood of innocents often flows in springs and waterfalls. Townships are being set ablaze and grave yards are rapidly spreading. Merciless state, which celebrated republic day at 26th January, has served the Kashmiris with torture, extra judicial killings, illegal detentions, gang rapes and complete suspension of fundamental human rights. After all, there has to be a limit to arrogance, hatefulness and shamelessness but when it comes to India one fails to find an end. There is an absolute insensitivity over months long curfew, merciless killings, eyesight loss and closure of educational institutes in Kashmir. Undoubtedly ,it is one of the worst manifestation of mass prejudice. False allegations on Pakistan will not bring any good in Kashmir. Peace can not be restored by committing genocide. Unrest in Kashmir directly affects Pakistan. It is Indian State sponsored terrorism which has injured the soul of the Kashmir. Cold shoulder response of international community is another terrible display of hypocrisy whereby every state prefers to safeguard her interests by shamelessly neglecting the mass human rights violations. Pakistan, as a state, should quickly grasp this bitter reality that management of any complication with India should never be planned over the shoulders of a third country. Undoubtedly, Kashmir is one of the most pain full human tragedy of this era. Indian state sponsored violence has left deep scars on the soul of Kashmir and the cure is not easy. Insensitive and criminal silence on part of international community is another multiplying negative element. As a state, Pakistan too has an unsatisfactory account of meaningless response mostly revolving around verbal statements. Pakistan has failed in pleading the case of Kashmir on diplomatic front. No one can deny the importance of Kashmir solidarity day but practical acceleration on verbal statements is the only way forward to fetch relief for Kashmir. I feel no hesitation in predicting this fact that future historians will definitely blame Indian State, insensitive international community, so-called Muslim Ummah and mindless rulers of Pakistan for the endless sufferings of Kashmir.
