Nothing nobler than laying one's life in defence of motherland: COAS

RAWALPINDI/PESHAWAR, March 3: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said nothing is nobler than laying one’s life in defence of the motherland.
He said this while paying tribute to martyrs Lieutenant Khawar Shaheed and Naik Shahzad Shaheed, who embraced martyrdom in Janikehl area of Bannu on Thursday.
Qamar Javed Bajwa said that we salute our martyrs and our life and blood is for Pakistan. Meanwhile, Namaz-e-Janaza of Lieutenant khawar Shaheed & Naik Shahzad Shaheed who embraced shahadat on Thursday during an IBO in general area Jani khel, Bannu was offered on Friday at Peshawar garrison. Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed Butt, Commander Army Air Defence Command Lieutenant General Zahid Latif and other senior serving Civil and military officers and soldiers attended the Namaze Janaza. Bodies of Shahuada will be taken to their native areas where they will be buried with full military honour.-Sabah
