ISPROperationSWABI, March 7: At least five terrorists were killed while two soldiers embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire in Malikabad, the Inter- Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
The soldiers Captain Junaid and Sepoy Amjad had taken part in an intelligence-based operation by security forces.
Sacrifice of our martyrs will not go to waste and terrorists will be brought to their end and held accountable for their fasaad, the ISPR said.
The funeral prayers of the two martyred soldiers were offered at Peshawar Garrison Club on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant general Bilal Akbar, Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed Butt among other civil and military officials attended the funeral prayers.
The soldiers were buried in the native areas with complete military honour.-Agencies
