SWABI, March 8: At least ten bodies were recovered near bypass in Swabi’s Baja area on Wednesday.
Sources told that the corpses have been shifted to Bacha Khan Medical Complex for identification process. The security officers have launched an investigation into the matter.
Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan Army captain and a sepoy had embraced martyrdom during exchange of fire with terrorists in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The clash took place when security forces conducted raid on a militant compound during an intelligence-based operation in Malikabad area. “During exchange of fire Capt Junaid and Sepoy Amjad embraced shahadat,” the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release. According to ISPR, the compound was surrounded and five terrorists were killed during the operation. Security has been beefed up after commencement of a countrywide anti-terror operation called Radd-ul-Fasaad (elimination of discord) following a wave of terrorist attacks claimed more than 100 lives in different cities during one week. -DNA
