NOWSHERA, March 12: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday called for the expulsion of Javed Latif from National Assembly. Talking to the media in Nowshera after inaugurating Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex, Imran said that he was awaiting an action from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif against the PML-N MNA. “If he doesn’t take an action against him (Javed Latif), I would consider Nawaz Sharif is also involved in this”, he added. The demand comes a few days after Murad Saeed and Javed Latif scuffled outside the National Assembly hall. Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Imran Khan condemned Punjab Assembly speaker, who gave a ‘shut up’ call to the member of the provincial assembly during a session held earlier this week. “Strongly condemn Punjab Assembly Speaker using unparliamentary language & asking PTI MPA Mian Aslam to “shut up”. Unheard of in parliaments,” Imran wrote on his Twitter account. The PTI chairman also accused PML-N of lacking a sense of democratic norms. “With no sense of democratic norms, PML-N has plunged to new depths, and it is eroding the democratic, moral & ethical values of our society,” he wrote. Earlier this week, Punjab speaker gave shut up call to PTI MPA Mian Aslam upon which opposition raised slogans of ‘go speaker go’. Going a step further, opposition members climbed on chairs to register protest in a unique way.-Agencies
