- Meets Queen Maxima, discusses various issues
ISLAMABAD, February 11: President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday met Queen of Netherlands Maxima and discussed prevailing situation.
The queen arrived in Pakistan on a three-day visit on Tuesday in the capacity of UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate (UNSGSA) for Inclusive Finance for Development.
During the meeting in Islamabad, President Mamnoon Hussain said that welfare of masses is the cornerstone of government’s development policy. He said that the government has put the economy on the right track through prudent policies.
The Queen Maxima appreciated Pakistan’s stance regarding terrorism and said the cooperation with Pakistan will continue for improving the economic situation of common man.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, also held a meeting with Queena Maxima of Netherlands in Islamabad.-DNA
