Last Thursday, another teenager son of Kashmir, a 14 years old Amir Nazir, was killed in a cold blooded murder by the Indian occupying Security Forces. Helpless parents; Nazir Ahmad (father) and Ms Halima (mother) want to ask India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the crime of their son for which he was brutally killed by Indian Army? Ms Halima, the mother of the unfortunate school boy is asking everyone… why her son was killed but no one has so far given satisfactory answer. Nazir Ahmed gave Rs 1500 to his son, Amir, to pay school fee but instead of bringing fee deposit receipt, the parents received bullet ridden dead body of their son, socked in blood. This is the story of every second house in Indian held Jammu and Kashmir and Amir is the fifth teenager killed by Indian forces this year. The Indian authorities are not ready to accept that Amir was killed as the result of their firing. As per an Indian major who introduced himself as Major Sena, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat gave clear orders to shoot on spot, whosoever tries to interfere in the military operations against Kashmiri terrorists. Interestingly, it is being implemented as a rule that wherever an operation is to be carried out three kilometers on the right, left, front and back is to be sealed and anyone not cooperating with the Security Forces in searches would be considered as accomplices of terrorists and shot on the spot.
It cannot be a coincident that it was 9th March 2017, when the Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission had announced the schedule for by-polls to Anantnag and Srinagar Lok Sabha constituencies. On the very same day, Amir Nazir embraced martyrdom at the hands of Indian forces. If we recall, Commander Northern Command Lieutenant General DS Hooda, admitted killing two Kashmiri teenagers in 2014 and claimed that there was intelligence input about a white car used by terrorists so in a mistake these young boys were fired upon and killed. Ironically, the teenagers were hit by 32 bullets despite the fact that they neither resisted nor were carrying any weapon. The families of the martyred boys refused Indian Army’s offer of one million rupees as compensation. Father of one of the boy, namely Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, while rejecting the offer said, “The blood of my 14-year-old son is not so cheap that I would sell him to Indian Army.” Similarly, in 2015, Indian forces killed three teenagers while one is still missing. Next year, Indian Army martyred a 13 years teenager girl in Shopian on September 2016.
This time, the credit of said operation against Kashmiri teenagers goes to personnal of Indian Army Commandos’ group, 55 Rashtriya Rifles Regiment, Special Operation Group (SOG) J&K Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), in which beside a teenager, three other innocent Kashmiris were martyred. This year hundreds of protesting teenagers were arrested, severly beaten and tortured by Indian security forces. The Indian atrocities have crossed all limits. Indeed, it is high time that Indian Army and other occupation security forces in Jammu and Kashmir must understand that pellets and bullets would not be able to stop Kashmiris from greeting occupying forces with insults and rebukes, coupled with stone throwing in case they are fired upon. For the Kashmiris, it is an honour that every second house, in one way or the other, has been a victim of Indian atrocities. Today, Kashmiris are prepared to render further sacrifices to make the entire population of Jammu and Kashmir an Indian-atrocities ridden State. Probably by this way, ill-fated occupied State may be able to attract attention of United Nations Organization (UNO), international human rights organizations and world leaders, who may implement UNSC Resolutions and allow right of self-determination to Kashmiris, in the shape of a plebiscite.
