Self interest is the ultimate virtue and Greed the ultimate ‘god’ in the eyes of a genuine godfather. ‘Family’ in the ‘mafia terminology’ means the head and his offsprings. Not all blood relatives are ‘family members’. Those who come in the way of the ultimate interest of ‘the head’—-the godfather—are automatic targets for elimination.
Inorder to stay in ‘the good books’ of ‘the godfather’ one has to display exemplary standards of loyalty—including a fervent willingness to embrace ‘self-immolation’, in the cause of the Family.
Nihal Hashmi has done everything to deserve the highest thinkable posthumous rewards from his boss—-the godfather.
He embarked upon the path of self-immolation with a no-holds-barred barrage of the deadly consequences of daring to ‘interrogate’ such a key member of the divine Family—as the godfather’s heir.
Nihal Hashmi did not have a gun in his hand (to the naked eye) but one could see through the mind’s eye that he was actually waving and pointing a GUN at the honourable judges— and those state-empowered members of the Joint Investigation Team who had committed the ultimate sin—-the sin of bringing ‘loss of honour’ to the divine Family.
On the 5th of June, the worthy loyalist of the Family confirmed vehemently that he had done the right thing and that he was perfectly within his right, when challenging the dare-deviltry of the Judiciary of Pakistan. Not only the Judiciary of Pakistan—but also every single breathing soul under the sun in Pakistan who was harbouring the thoughts of disrespect to the Family.
