Mufti muneeb

KARACHI, February 15: Prominent religious scholar Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has expressed his reservation to government ‘for specifically targeting religious seminaries (Madaris) in the ongoing operation.
Addressing a press conference, Mufti Muneeb said that the government does not do what it is supposed to do. “The country is already facing chaos and it is not in a position to further exacerbate the problem.” he warned.
“Has terrorism completely been rooted out from the country,” he aspired.
The scholar said hate speeches should be banned. He said singling out seminaries for action is a biased approach.
“It would be better if war on terrorism should be taken to its logical end.” Mufti Muneeb also took exception to the bill presented in the Sindh Assembly seeking to regulate Friday sermons. -DNA
