PESHAWAR, February 17: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak while directing the authorities concerned to expedite work on the construction of Women University campus Mardan ordered for ensuring arrangements so that academic activities could be started in an efficient manner. He was presiding over a high level meeting convened here at CM Secretariat Peshawar to review progress of the campus of the University. Advisor to CM on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ghani, Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan, Secretary Higher Education, Project Director Women University Mardan and CPO higher education attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister was briefed about the progress of the construction work of the campus. Important issues regarding the University also came under discussion during the meeting. The Chief Minister, while talking on the occasion, said that the present provincial government had special focus on the promotion of female education. He said that educated women could play an active role in the development of society. He said that females must have an equal opportunity of learning. He ordered accelerating construction work of the campus and assured that further funds would also be allocated in next budget to ensure quality construction of the campus. He further directed to complete all the arrangements including handing over the proposed building to start academic activities till the completion of the under construction campus.-PR
