The common man in this country was extremely happy to see Netherland’ s prime minister cycling to the King’ s residence for meeting the Dutch king without any security protocol. This is how truly Democratic leaders work. The photo of that visit last week went viral on the social media. The common man, on the other hand, felt utterly depressed when he saw Saudi monarch taking an entourage of 1500 hundred persons along with him on an official visit to Moscow in 27 planes .He was also disgusted to see King Salman’ furniture also being flown in to Moscow for his use there during the course of his stay. His anger knew no bounds when he saw the Saudi king alighting from the plane in Moscow using a golden staircase which was also flown into Moscow before his arrival.
The same type of extragravanza had been resorted to by the Saudi Royals while on their tour of Indonesia a few months back.
Has nobody taught the Saudis who move in the corridors of power about the simplicity observed by the Prophet(PBUH) and earlier caliphs of Islam in their life while in power?
Our leaders in this country also fancy pomp and show. They are also fond of living in palatial houses and driving limousines bought on prohibitive price.Their life style is no less than the Abbaside and Mughal kings.
