MQM launches four-day hunger strike against Altaf’s media blackout

MQMKARACHI, February 19: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has launched a four-day symbolic hunger strike against media coverage ban on party chief Altaf Hussain’s statements.
Dr Farooq Sattar, Muhammad Hussain and Kaiful Wari officially launched the strike among other party members in Karachi Press Club at 11 o’clock in the morning.
The strike will continue for the coming three days from 11 am to 11 pm. MQM leaders say the 12-hour token strike will be observed from 11am to 11pm outside Karachi Press Club till Monday. On Friday, MQM’s senior leaders, MNAs, MPAs and municipal representatives arrived at the press club and joined the hunger strike along with a large number of party supporters. -NNI
