maleehaNEW YORK, February 20: Pakistan’s permanent representative at United Nations, Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi said on Saturday that UN peacekeeping forces should remain neutral and unbiased.
According to the details, Maleeha Lodhi said that safety and security of peacekeepers must continue to be an overriding priority. She also said that 2015 was the year of policy making and planning for Pakistan so 2016 should be the year of taking initiatives.
“Pakistan is on the forefront in the war against terrorism and doing utmost effort to bring peace in the world”, said Maleeha.
Maleeha Lodhi stressed the need for strengthening UN’s mediation and conflict prevention capabilities to help peacekeeping. She said that conflicts should be solved through dialogue and talk because use of power can lead to extremism.
