RAWALPINDI, Mar 16 (SABAH): During his meeting with tribal elders in Landi Kotal area of Khyber Agency, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday assured them that all issues faced by tribal people will be addressed.
According to ISPR, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan Army fully supports mainstreaming of FATA and shall pursue it in line with aspirations of tribal brothers.
Talks regarding peace process are underway with Afghanistan, he said, adding that Pak Army will try its best to ensure law and order in tribal areas of the country.
He further announced that job opportunities will be provided to tribal people, whereas, funds worth one billion rupees will be spent for uplift of the areas. -Sabah
