Pakistan Day is being observed today. A military parade would be the highlight of celebrations on the occasion. The nation is proud of high professional standard of its Air force, Army and Navy. All three of them have proved their mettle whenever their services were required for guarding the frontiers of the country.
Undoubtedly, our Air force occupies the pride of place among the Air forces of the world. Our pilots are second to none when it comes to professional skill. The military observers of the world acknowledge their superiority. This does not mean that our Army and Navy are in any way lesser than it. In the two wars which they fought with India they have given a proof of their bravery, if any proof was required. They have proved that it is not the gun but the man behind it who counts.
Our armed forces are the best in the entire muslim world because merit and merit alone governs all types of recruitment and promotions in them and no compromise is made in the matter.
Our Armed forces have certainly added another feather in their cap by rooting out the terrorists from their hideouts in the tribal belt of FATA which comprise the most difficult geographical terrain in the world and which had always proved to be a nightmare for the military which carried out operations in it before partition.
Hats off to the ever-present heroism of armed forces of Pakistan.
