In the modern world, the pattern and paradigm of warfare have changed. The states give priority to the asymmetric and non-traditional ways to pursue the desired goals. One of these approaches is bullying other states in couth behavior with the help of the international lobbying. Usually, such wicked states achieve their desired ends by portraying others as oppressors. Unfortunately, in the context of Pakistan, India has remained high-handed by carrying out nefarious acts against it. New Delhi always comes up with a rhetoric based on sheer lies and propaganda against Islamabad at the international forums. India is, in fact, responsible for giving air to the Baloch insurgents. India has been following a multipronged strategy of helping the Baloch insurgents and portraying Pakistan as a suppressor state.
Initially, Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadhav was apprehended by the Law-Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) of Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan and Karachi. Recently, the shocking revelations by a renowned Baloch activist Ahmar Musti Khan came in limelight regarding the dirty game of the Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Musti Khan proclaimed that he heckled the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, back in October 2015, when he was on a visit to the United States (US). He interrupted Nawaz Sharif while the latter was addressing at the US Institute of Peace. He confessed that he was instructed by the Indian RAW to do so. Exposing plans of India against Balochistan, he mentioned that India has been supporting terrorism in Pakistan since the Kargil War, that’s why the current insurgency has continued for over 10 years. It was also revealed that the RAW has provided more than 15 million US dollars to 3 Baloch militant groups for stocking terrorism in the province. It is pertinent to mention here that Ahmar Musti Khan is the founder of American Friends of Balochistan (AFB).
Musti Khan stated that the RAW had encouraged militants to kill the Punjabi, the Pakhtun and even the Sindhi civilians. The RAW is channeling terrorism in Balochistan through Afghanistan. In his videos, Musti Khan, who is also a journalist, claimed that he was ‘let down’ by the RAW operatives working from the Indian embassy in Washington adding that one of the operatives, Nagesh Bhushan managed the RAW’s Balochistan Desk. In his sensational confession, Musti Khan named three Balochistan-based militant groups and alleged that they received funds from India for militant activities. Among others, he also named the World Baloch Organization (WBO) and the Balochistan House (BH) which have been running poster campaigns against Pakistan in Geneva, London, Washington and New York. Musti Khan was actually part of the Indian sponsored media campaign to attack Pakistan in the US. He said that he was promised huge help by those who were interested in the heckling of Nawaz Sharif. None of those promises were ever fulfilled.
China has been playing role of a friend by investing multi-billion dollars in Pakistan for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. This project will improve the socio-economic standards of the Baloch society. However, the Indian RAW is trying to sabotage this project by sponsoring terrorism in the province. India is also spending a handsome amount on many think tanks to propagate the anti-Pakistan agenda at the global level. Musti Khan expressed that he had been mentally tortured at the hands of the RAW over various issues.
Indian media put blame on the Pakistani security agencies regarding human rights’ violations as far as the cases of enforced disappearances, tortures and killings of the Balochs are concerned, however as a matter of fact, the Indian RAW’s operatives have been actively involved in all such heinous crimes in Balochistan. It also has been maligning the China’s investment projects as an attempt to colonize the Baloch territory. However, in reality, the mega project of the CPEC will pave ways for the development and prosperity of the province. The Pakistani government must take up the case at all the available domestic and international forums regarding these revelations made by Ahmar Musti Khan to unveil the true face of India. After investigating the matter, the Pakistani authorities need to make its case strong at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding Kulbhushan’s involvement in the terrorist activities in Balochistan. The time has come for the Baloch society to realize and reject the dirty game of India which is solely meant to achieve its nefarious political goals, not for the sacred Baloch rights.
