Less than two weeks short of national elections , ex PM Nawaz Sharif accompanied with his daughter returned back to Pakistan from London . Though , both father and daughter had been regularly visiting London to take care of seriously ill Mrs Kulsoom Nawaz , but this last tour proved bitter than ever on two accounts ; One , Mrs Kulsoom Nawaz remained unconscious thus no formal interaction could take place between them ! Second , NAB court announced the unpleasant judgement by refusing the request for further delay lodged by ex PM . Imprisonment , fine and disqualification awarded to ex PM , his daughter and son in law are well known at this point . Judgement has practically closed the doors of electoral politics on three convicts in the form of disqualification. Question of the day is that would it be possible; specially once our track record about accountability of influential circles had never been fair? Just short of elections, masses are confused that loud claims of bringing back the looted money of this unfortunate country would ever be made true on ground ? It was ex CM Punjab the Khadim e Aala , who announced to drag some one on roads and bring back the looted money by tearing apart his belly ! This claim has become a joke now and often political rivals taunt PML-N by quoting same artificial roar . Like wise , another claim made by ultra sentimental Khadim e Aala later transformed in a joke ! It was about generating electricity in 6 months sufficient enough to finish the load shedding ; interesting part of the claim was the bold offer of changing the name of Khadim e Aala in case of failure ! There is a long list of promises or claims made during electoral campaigns which later proved white lies and subsequently transformed into a joke or taunt material . It is the horrible beauty of our pathetic democracy that Ex CM Punjab, instead of dragging corrupt persons or tearing apart their symbolic bellies on roads, was seen dragging poor workers on roads to express solidarity with a convicted corrupt person on 13th July . How can we run a corruption ridden country while having two entirely different stances over an issue of similar nature . Court verdict against the opponents is a pure justice but any verdict against own family members or party leaders is an injustice ! Return of ex PM is neither a willful bow before law or courts nor a move to strengthen the democracy in the country . It is a well known fact that ex PM and his close aides had never been positive towards courts . As far as democracy is concerned , this precious commodity is absolutely non-existent in ranks and files of Ex PM’s own party . Return to Pakistan and apparent acceptance of imprisonment is precisely aimed at fulfilling an essential prerequisite for filing the appeal against verdict and paving way for a most desired stay cum bail . It is an undeniable fact that ex PM has more sensitive interests out of the country and in this era of ultra investigative social media this bitter reality is hovering in circles to question his credibility . How miserable is the fact that self styled democrat and three times PM has two talented son who are willful British nationals with all business assets and earnings out of Pakistan . Probably , this kind of unique hypocrisy can only prevail in corruption friendly country like Pakistan only . Ex PM has significantly contributed in spreading the turmoil of corruption in Pakistan through his political mafia by sometimes joining hands with unconstitutional military dictator and sometimes by bulldozing democratic norms . Who can forget the shameful hijacking of Muslim League in late 80s by manipulative ouster of Mr Muhammad khan Junejo(late) orchestrated by none other than Mr Nawaz Sharif . In order to save his business empire , built through extra dubious means, he is now set to gamble on every thing . Pakistan definitely falls no where in his priorities . Pakistan with all its enormous resources are like killing fields where this blood thirsty political lion enters to hunt down the sheeps ! Past five years of Muslim League under Nawaz Sharif deeply damaged the core interests of Pakistan . Unfortunately, Ex PM was seen striving hard as a representative of foreign powers busy in encircling Pakistan on regional chessboard . Country needs a leader not a pawn of foreign masters . His apologetic bend in front of India , negligent approach towards foreign affairs , extremely damaging economic maneuvers and dubious rift with national institutes specially the armed forces of Pakistan are enough an evidence to understand his future goals . Most expectedly , ex PM will be heavily depending upon the international establishment in the coming days to pave a way forward by using exploitable weaknesses of Pakistan . After all he had been PM of this poor nation for three times , so , who could point out better than him the exploitable weaknesses of Pakistan to the international establishment . The cat is about to be out of bag and strength of our judicial system and reality of politics will be standing stripped as usual in the broad day light .
