Imran Khan has reportedly said he would very much like to learn from the Chinese leadership as to how did it successfully tackle the issue of corruption in its country?As far as we know,Beijing has been very harsh on those who were found involved in corruption,no matter which group they belong to.The corrupt persons are handed over to the firing squads who instantly kill them and they even charge cost of bullets with which their bodies are riddled from their next of kin.Reward and punishment are the basic pillars round which the system of justice gyrates.The societies which don’t adopt this system,hook,line and sinker,are bound to perish.
It must have been noticed that there had been appreciable fall in the incidence of terrorism in this country during the period when terrorists were being sent to the gallows regularly.If those found guilty of corruption are hanged and their ill- gotten property is confiscated to the state and auctioned there is no reason why this evil could not be eliminated from this country.Our tragedy is that those persons who have been looting the treasury through different modes are never punished nor their ill-gotten money recovered.They have always been getting away with lightly.One of the main reasons why the electorate of this country voted the PTI into power on 25 th July 2018 was that its chief had promised with the nation that he would bring to book all the corrupt persons irrespective of their rank and position in society.The common man is eagerly waiting to see the nemesis of the filthy rich of the country.Let us hope the PTI would make good on the promises made by it with the people of the country in its election manifesto.
