ISLAMABAD, August 10: The president has summoned the session of National Assembly on Monday at 10:00 AM.
The first sitting of the session will see the newly elected MNAs taking oath of their office. Outgoing Speaker NA Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will administer the oath to the newly elected members.
This will be followed by the elections of the speaker, the deputy speaker and then the leader of the house. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has nominated its Chairman Imran Khan for the slot of the leader of the house whilst the PML (N) President Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has been fielded as a joint candidate by the opposition.
The opposition has also nominated Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah for the slot of the speaker. The opposition has nominates Asad Mehmood as candidate of deputy speaker national assembly.-Sabah
