- PM decides to hold federal cabinet meeting twice a week: Sources

ISLAMABAD, August 26: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday announced a 23-member Punjab Cabinet hours after Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a consultative meeting.
Aleem Khan, who has been appointed senior minister, will also serve as local government and community development minister. Mian Aslam Iqbal has been given the portfolio of minister for industries and commerce.
MianMahmoodur Rasheed, who served as opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly has been appointed as Senior Minister and will serve as minister for housing, urban development and public health engineering.
The party has also appointed Dr Yasmin Rashid as minister for primary and secondary health, specialised healthcare and medication education. Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed will serve as minister for excise and taxation.
FayazChohan has been appointed the new minister for information and culture while YasirHumayun will serve as higher education and tourism development minister. MakhdoomHashim will serve as the new finance minister whereas Samiullah Chaudhry has been given
the portfolio of food minister.
Raja Basharat, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Raja Rashid Hafeez, Revenue, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Industries, Commerce & Investment, AnserMajeedNiazi, Labour& Manpower, Taimur Khan, Sports and Youth Affairs have also been appointed as Minister.
The prime minister conducted interviews of at least 30 aspirants at his Bani Gala residence. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and nominated Governor Chaudhry Sarwar were also present.
Imran during his interaction with fellow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members called for austerity, saying he wanted additional cars for sitting ministers sold.
