LAHORE, October 28: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has said that it seems as if the country is set to ‘take off’ for the first time in its history.
Justice Nisar made these remarks at the inauguration ceremony for the 975th annual urs celebrations of renowned Sufi saint Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh on Sunday.
The chief justice said that if everyone joins hands to help the country move forward then Pakistan would soon prosper. The top judge also underscored sacrifices made by our forefathers to see Pakistan come into being.
The CJP said that it is now up to the current generation to turn Pakistan into a thriving and prosperous country.
“Each and every citizen needs to inculcate the love for the motherland in order for us to move forward,” Justice Nisar said.
Moreover, the top judge highlighted Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh’s message of love, adding that it is a blessing that these Sufi saints are in Lahore. Speaking about the construction of dams, Justice Nisar once again appealed citizens to contribute generously to overcome the water crisis.
Justice Nisar said that the construction of dams is our lifeline and we have to build dams on war footings.-Agencies
