ISLAMABAD, November 1: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the government will ensure protection of citizens and no one will be allowed to take law into hands or to block the roads against the Supreme Court’s verdict.
Prime Minister presided over federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad today and reviewed 8-point agenda and important appointments and also took the cabinet into confidence about his upcoming visit to China.
The cabinet discussed the overall law and order situation in the country arising out of Supreme Court’s verdict in the Asia Bibi blasphemy case. The members also discussed the economic and political matters.
On October 30, PM Khan visited Lahore where he met the members of the provincial cabinet including Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to discuss political, administrative, and economic matters of the
province.
He appreciated the Punjab government’s initiative to introduce shelter homes and inns in various districts of the province and directed departments concerned to continue with its anti-encroachment drive against land mafias. PM warned his ministers against negligence pertaining to professional matters. “We have to deliver on our promises. Our priorities must be public welfare. Opposition can only cause delays,” he said. -DNA
