Eye-witnesses of Sahiwal incident refuse to record their statements before JIT

LAHORE , January 25: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Sahiwal shooting incident has recorded statements of another two witnesses today (Friday).
The witnesses identified as Tayyab and Mahabat Khan were summoned to Police Rest House to share details of the tragic incident with the JIT members. A day after receiving report on Sahiwal tragedy from the Punjab government, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday summoned Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to Islamabad to be briefed on the Sahiwal tragedy and the investigations in the case. Earlier on Wednesday, Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja said the initial JIT report found no terror links of late Khalil family, and held the Counter Terrorism Department officials responsible for their killing in Sahiwal tragic incident.
