No body in the world is going to buy the argument of New Delhi that Pakistan was behind the recent suicide bombing attack on the Indian army in the occupied Kashmir killing a host of Indian military men. Pakistan itself has been fighting a war on terror in which it has sacrificed thousands of its citizens both civil and military. Moreover, it is not that naive to get itself involved in any act of aggression at this point of time when important foreign heads of state have been visiting Pakistan which badly needs foreign investment for finding its feet as early as possible.
There is no gainsaying the fact that the Kashmiri youth has been fighting a war for their identity and survival which is hundred percent indigenous. It is ,however, just possible that the American CIA might had an hidden hand behind it and the reason for it is that Washington simply cannot afford to see CPEC reaching its fruition because it knows that with its success China is going to become world’s strongest economy in a decade’s time leaving both the US and Japan far behind. Washington knows that in case it succeeds to trigger a war in the sub-continent between these two old rivals the CPEC can be sabotaged.
Imran Khan has done well to caution India that while Pakistan would promptly retaliate against any military adventure it should not be forgotten that it is easier to start a war but it is highly difficult to stop it. Let us hope that his warning would not fall on deaf ears. New Delhi shouldn’t forget that Pakistan too has got nuclear arsenal so if it tried to start a nuclear war India too would not be able to protect itself. Even if are annihilated by it there would still be over 50 Muslim countries left in the world but with the destruction of India no Hindu state would remain in the world. Make no mistake.
