Amir Baksh Bhutto who is son of former chief minister Sind Mumtaz Bhutto and Fatima Bhutto granddaughter of late Z.A Bhutto have been quite active ,lately, on the political front in Sind.The local leadership of the PTI want them to play an effective role in the politics of the province and it is rumoured that it wants them to wrest Sind card from Zardari and company, which they don’t see eye to eye with.There is,however, another side of the story also which says Fatima Bhutto doesn’t want to jump into politics at this point in time as she is more interested in her literary activities.
It goes without saying that the PPP has a lot to live down in Sind where mismanagement and corruption reign supreme right under the nose of the PPP leaders who have been ruling the roost in Sind for many many years now. Many leaders of the PPP Sind have been arrested on corruption charges and many more are on the radar of NAB.They have been exploiting the Sind card quite effectively and have also been politically cashing Bhutto’ s hanging and his daughter ‘s killing to the hilt.They have only filled their personal coffers with their ill- gotten money and have done nothing to ameliorate the lot of the teeming millions of the poor who don’t know where their next meal would come from.But enough is enough.The man in the street is now fed up and wants a change in the corridors of power.
Politics is the art of the possible. There is no last word in it.Friends become adversaries and adversaries friends.Insiders say that in case some more PPP leaders were arrested in Sind the possibility of formation of a forward block inside the PPP cannot be ruled out altogether.
