In the modern times, the tactics of non-kinetic warfare, also known as hybrid warfare, have been employed by states in order to destabilize its competitors. Similarly, information warfare cannot be ignored to tackle the propagandas projected by enemy states. In this scenario, significant writers and intellectuals are used to create misconceptions in order to target specific institutions of certain state. Unfortunately, the prominent writers such as Hussain Haqqani, Talha Siddiqi and others have been backed by the enemies of Pakistan constantly to propagate negativity against Pakistan. In this regard, the name of Ayesha Siddiqa cannot be ignored.
It is a very harsh reality that few anti-Pakistan individuals like Ayesha Siddiqa have been engaged in putting their false allegations against Pakistan. For this, the Indian audience are highly obliged to her for providing them platform to defame and destabilize Pakistan by any means. She published an article ‘Possibilities of a Verdict’ in ‘The Indian Express’ on Feb 11, 2019 which is mostly based on blinkered vision focused on bashing institutions of Pakistan such as Judiciary and Army. It is worrisome to know that she always prefer to write for Indian newspaper, projecting false image of her own country on the behest of her Indian masters. In fact, she belongs to an anti-Pakistan intellectual lobby supported by India. They have been tasked of raising number of issues to defame the country’s Pillar institutions i.e. Judiciary and Army. On realistic grounds, the Indian leadership is well connected with Ayesha Siddiqa for providing them with much needed “arrows in their quivers” to support anti-Pakistan narratives. In fact, her anti-State speculations and propagandas are baseless and awful, as the Pakistan’s civil-military leadership has been running the State-affairs diligently. Moreover, the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan along with the Pak Army are fully in favour of continuation of the democratic process in the country.
The individuals like Ayesha Siddiqa always support those narratives which are anti-Pakistan. She is of the view that the country’s judiciary has targeted only specific politicians, in order to pave the way for Imran Khan and military. However, this is not the case. The SC gave verdict of certain politicians’ disqualifications based on their corruption charges. The disqualified politicians started blaming judiciary in order to hide their corruption scandals. On the other side, the State-institutions have always backed democratic transition in the country, without giving preference to a certain political party. Moreover, the Pakistan Armed Forces have always played an active role in giving security inputs to the Federal government along with supporting the welfare policies for the public. Similarly, the military is not in favor of any martial coup in the country, thus it is not indulging in the governance matters. Unfortunately, the State-institutions have been under constant assault by foreign enemies besides corrupt politicians who are trapped in continuous judiciary trials. Regrettably, Pakistan has been governed by those political parties which only worked for flourishing its own politicians, without catering for the public. Moreover, those politicians tried to maximize their private wealth, without having any vision for the country’s development.
It is a grim reality that anti-Pakistan scholars describe Pakistan as a terrorist state, and put the blame for supporting the religious organizations. However, as a matter of fact, the Pakistani State rejects terrorism in all its manifestations, and has played a very significant role in its fight against terrorism. Pakistan has sacrificed more than seventy thousand precious lives including military personnel and lost more than 120 billion dollars in economy. It has taken indiscriminate actions against all the terrorist entities, and made relentless efforts to promote ‘Afghan Peace Process’. Retrospectively, the Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is behind every terrorist activity in Pakistan. It is an open secret that the RAW has been providing the terrorists with financial support besides training them. Apart from that, the RAW along with support of the Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS) have been exploiting the ethnic and sectarian fault-lines in Pakistan. It is fortunate that the Pakistan’s Armed Forces have countered all the challenges emanating from extremism and terrorism.
In a nutshell, the writers like Ayesha Siddiqa have been implanted by the foreign enemies to project anti-Pakistan views. They can be termed as traitors of Pakistan who furthers the agenda of the Western masters. In current times, the enemy is exploiting the Pashtun nationalism through the ‘Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement’ (PTM). They are projecting negative images of Pakistan through social-media platforms in order to spread hatred and hostilities against Pakistan. The US apparently seeks stability in Pakistan, but in reality, it continues to destabilize it through the Indian RAW and the Afghan NDS. Similarly, the US-Indo-Israeli nexus is leaving no chance in projecting their endless propaganda against Pakistan by backing the writers as Ayesha Siddiqa.
