ISLAMABAD, April 4: Nawaz Sharif should “take advantage of the plea bargain law and return people’s money,” says Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry.
“It has been over a week since Nawaz Sharif was released from jail and he hasn’t been to the hospital,” Chaudhry said on Thursday. “May Allah give him health and taufeeq to return Pakistan’s money in this tension-free environment.”
Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur are among the 170 people whose names emerged in the report of an investigation team which probed the fake accounts case. On January 7, the Supreme Court sent the fake accounts case to NAB and told it to wrap up the investigation in two months. The matter was taken up by the court over the delay in a 2015 Federal Investigation Agency investigation into money laundering via fake bank accounts.
“Return people’s money and live in your home forever,” Chaudhry advised former PM Sharif, who is out from jail on a two-week bail granted on medical grounds. Agencies
