ISLAMABAD, March 1: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government would ensure return of Temporarily Displaced People to their native areas with honour and respect.
He was talking to Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, designated Governor KPK who called on him here at the PM House.
The prime minister said the entire nation in general and the people of FATA in particular, deserve due recognition for their support in the war against terrorism.
Sharif expressed the hope that the new Governor will continue to work for the development and welfare of the people of FATA and KPK.
Praising their matchless sacrifices, the Prime Minister said that the entire nation in general and the people of FATA in particular, deserve due recognition for their support in the war against terrorism. The Prime Minister further said that the government will ensure return of Temporarily Displaced People to their native areas with honour and respect.
He said the government was committed and resolved to bring FATA at par with rest of the country and providing all facilities.
The prime minister wished Iqbal Zafar Jhagra well on the assignment.
The Governor-designate thanked the prime minister for reposing trust in him by nominating him as Governor Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK).
Jhagra said that he would continue the good work initiated by his predecessor for improving conditions in FATA. -DNA
