ISLAMABAD, May 1: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that some rulers only think about themselves instead of thinking about the country.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with the 23rd Foundation Day of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said that the system collapse when the rulers become thieves, adding that a corrupt ruler ruins the country and nation, while the sincere leaders change fate of their country.
Imran Khan said that the PTI-led government will put the country on the development path by taking bold measures.
The prime minister said ideology of Pakistan is our mission and we are striving to make the country a welfare state where every citizen
will enjoy equal rights.
The PM said that the size of debt of the country has jumped to thirty thousand billion rupees from six thousand billion rupees during the last ten years.
“When PTI came into power there was a budget deficit of Rs1300 billion, the gas sector was facing loss of 150 billion rupees,” he said and added circular debt we inherited was Rs1200 billion last year.
The PM said that Ehsas Program will be historical program of PTI led government in poverty alleviation.
Announcing ten point agenda of his government, he said this is a historic and comprehensive programme regarding destitutes, widows, orphans, workers, labourers, farmers, jobless, homeless, aged and poor students of the country.
Prime Minister said that the opposition parties have joined hands to save themselves from accountability but he won’t give them any sort of relief despite all their efforts. He said that “let them do whatever they can I wont give them NRO. Nawaz Sharif has asked to travel abroad for treatment. Isn’t it then the right of every other prisoners to go abroad for treatment.”-Agencies
