RAWALPINDI, May 10: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that he acknowledges that inflation is on the rise but people will have to go through tough times to pay loans.
The prime minister was addressing a gathering at the inauguration ceremony of Mother and Child Hospital in Rawalpindi.
PM Imran Khan said that he knows that electricity and gas bills are rising day by day and causing difficulty for the common man but it was due to the previous system which was harmful.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, PM Imran Khan was joined by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
According to Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid, the Mother and Child Hospital in Rawalpindi is a state-of-the-art hospital which has 200 beds and will be equipped with the latest gadgets.
Rashid added that the hospital currently has 11 modern operation theatres which will be increased to 17.
The railways minister further said there is a dire need for the Mother and Child Hospital to be functional as soon as possible so that the rush on three government hospitals can end.
“The three hospitals are not in a position to accommodate more patients,” he said, adding that the new hospital will be made functional as soon as possible.
He also thanked former chief justice Mian Saqib Nisar who directed to initiate Mother and Child Hospital project in the best interest of the public.-Agencies
