This Prayer was made in Zardari’s Times
Whereas the PML(N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has urged the Zardari / Gilani government to end the woes and the agony of the nation by holding fresh elections at the earliest, President Zardari after his meeting with Prime Minister Gilani has gone on record with a renewed resolve to complete his term of office, and has advised those who are in a hurry to enter the corroridors of power, to wait for the term of the present government to get completed.
As for the people of Pakistan, they are in a desperate need for some miracle to happen that will pull them free from the clutches of a mounting sense of doom. They are witnessing, as helpless spectators, the systematic and unarrested destruction of their country’s economy. Pakistan Railways is perilous close to passing into history and becoming a relic of the past. PIA isn’t far behind in its slide down to its grave. The prices of the commodities of day-to-day use which guarantee sustainability of life, have soared past the reach of ordinary mortals. The energy crisis, the cripplingly cuts in the supply of the gas, and most importantly the devastating collapse of faith in the ability of the state to maintain law and order, have pushed the people so close to the precipice of fatalistic despondency that a great nation’s demise looks imminent, if the Benevolence of the Almighty decides not to intervene.
Only those who are the beneficiaries of this prevailing state of doom, are not prepared to join in the prayers of the masses for some kind of a redeeming Intervention to arrive from the Heavens.
