RAWALPINDI, July 8: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday expressed grief on sad demise of Noor Hassan, who was earlier air lifted to Lahore for treatment at a private hospital.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS said, will of almighty Allah is to be done while one
can only make an effort. May Allah bless the departed soul. Aamen.
Earlier, a Sadiqabad’s 330KG native named Noor-ul-Hassan had passed away today after he was taken to Lahore in a military helicopter after Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa directed a special medical treatment for him.
Noor had successfully undergone a successful surgery at Shalimar Hospital. The doctors said that the patient would reduce 100 kg in first six months while it will take two years for him to become completely healthy.
However, he suffered heart attack when irked relatives of a lady, who lost her life during delivery, stormed the ward and broke the windows and other equipments.
The protesters also disallowed the doctors to enter the ward for treatment of the obese man.
Meanwhile, Noor’s wife told that his husband was recovering as he had started moving his hands and feet.
On the other hand, provincial minister for health Dr Yasmeen Rashid took notice of the incident and formed a three-member team for inquiry. She has also assured to provide justice to the bereaved family. -NNI
