ISLAMABAD: Former Test skipper Aamir Sohail has urged Pakistan team to change their mindset if they want to win the upcoming matches at the ongoing T20 Asia Cup. “Pakistan batsmen, especially the top order, have badly failed to perform so far. Actually, they are unable to understand how to play strokes on the difficult pitch of the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium. And if Pakistan want to win their next matches, they will have to deliver on such fast tracks,” said Aamir while talking to a private TV channel. He said Pakistan batsmen would have to improve their batting techniques by changing their mindset, adding: otherwise, it won’t be easy for the green shirts to win their remaining matches.
Lauding pacer Mohammad Aamir’s performance, he said that his bowling was improving with each passing day. “He was a little off colour when he made his comeback but it is heartening to see him improve and become his own self which is a good thing for Pakistan cricket,” remarked the ex-Test captain who also urged other bowlers to produce some good spells which, he said, could only happen if they concentrate on their bowling.
