The Israelis have let it be known to the Indians that if they are to crush the freedom movement of the people of occupied Kashmir they had better emulate, hook, line and sinker the modus operandi which they had successfully implemented for containing the maverick Palestinians. Bulldoze the house from which any fire is opened on the Indian patrolling army men;hit the eyes of the protesters taking to the street with gun pellets so that they either become blind or seriously injured. Like a true disciple the Indians have been meticulously following these nostrums , lately. No body should, therefore, be surprised if the Indian forces used cluster bombs on the Kashmiri population living near the control line the other day. This was also in line with the Israelis’advice to them.
The Indians are not going to hold referendum in the occupied valley till the time they complete fresh settlements of Hindus in the occupied valley thus converting the Hindu minority living there into majority after which they would feel comfortable in holding a plebiscite. This advice was also given to them by the Israelis who are making Jewish settlements galore in the Palestine.
The present government would, therefore, have to adopt an aggressive and hands-on Kashmir policy. The Indian diabolical designs need to be exposed. Kashmir should always remain in the international news. The former government did a great disservice to the Kashmir cause by just going through the motions in the matter and doing nothing concrete. Isn’t it a pity that for about 4 years the former PM kept the portfolio of the foreign minister vacant?
