Whether or not the prime minister would be able to translate into reality his election manifesto is open to question. Many skeptics doubt that even if he survives the Lock Down or Azadi March of the opposition, his detractors won’t allow him any peace of mind during the rest of his constitutional term by creating one problem after another for him so that his attention is divided and he is not able to implement whatever policies he has up his sleeve.
There are many who believe that if worse comes to worse,Imran may dissolve parliament and seek fresh mandate from the electorate telling them that if they want real change in their life they will have to vote his party into power with an overwhelming majority so that he is able to put into effect his manifesto and is not dependent on the support of political allies in parliament. This is a big political gamble but the type of person the PM is ,he would not hesitate for a minute taking it rather than submitting to the blackmail of the opposition .
There is no gainsaying the fact that the political element which has raised banner of rebellion against the PM comprise those politicians most of whom were shown back door by the electorate in the 2018 elections as well as those who are under trial in mega corruption cases.Imran Khan is their common foe. They are so much self-centred that they don’t realise that our Afghan and Indian borders are disturbed with the machination of our arch rival India and this is the time when all of us irrespective of our political leanings should be standing foursquare behind the government instead of creating any new law and order situation which is going to benefit only our enemies.
