- Says ourt judgement has defeated those desiring conflict among key institutions of the country
ISLAMABAD, November 29: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday termed the Supreme Court’s judgement in Army Chief extension case the victory of federation, parliament and democracy.
The Prime Minister gave these remarks while chairing a meeting of PTI and the government spokespersons. The meeting was briefed by legal team regarding the apex court verdict.
According to sources, participants lauded judiciary’s role, stating that the Supreme Court has set guidelines for the future as no one raised these questions before. Legislation will be carried out in light of the SC verdict.
It was further mentioned that the court judgement has defeated those desiring conflict among key institutions of the country.
The premier directed the spokespersons to maintain stance of harmony among institutions. He said the country’s dwilindling economy has been stabilised. Internal and external enemies are not happy with this, he added.-Agencies
