RAWALPINDI, December 2: : Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Mushaf in Sargodha, the military’s media wing said in a press release issued Monday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Gen Bajwa was taken into the squadron and flew in an F-16 jet as well, adding that the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, flew a second F-16 jet.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan “has also commanded Mushaf Base, a tradition shared by many illustrious names of PAF”, it added.
“The base and its squadrons hold claim to some of the most valiant actions in the history of air warfare and is a proud repository of capability, skills and traditions,” the statement said.
“The Chief of Air Staff flew in another F-16 and both aircraft proceeded to maneuver for a combat action simulation mission.
“After the mission, COAS interacted with the fighter pilots of the squadron,” the ISPR said.
Gen Bajwa commended the PAF’s “professionalism and dedication” and thanked it for “its unmatched services to the nation”, according to the ISPR.
He lauded the Air Chief’s visionary leadership and said harmony was necessary between the forces for operational successes, the statement noted.-Agencies
