LAHORE, January 2: Media Partnership MoU signing ceremony between Radio Pakistan and Islamabad United was held at Radio Pakistan Lahore for the next edition of PSL.
Director General of Radio Pakistan, Mrs Semina Waqar represented Radio Pakistan while owner of Islamabad United Ali Naqvi represented Islamabad United, and signed an MoU.
Later, talking to newsmen Director General of PBC, Mrs. Samina Waqar said that Radio Pakistan is glad on signing MoU with Islamabad United for new edition of PSL.
She expressed hope that partnership between Radio Pakistan and Islamabad United will continue. She said that Radio Commentary has been revived for this event.
She said that Radio commentators will also be sent abroad. She said that relation between Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Cricket Board is very old.
She said that Radio Pakistan successfully broadcast live commentary on matches of recent Pak Sri Lanka cricket series and of matches between Pak Bangladesh women teams as well.
She said that Radio Pakistan will also play its role for promotion of game of hockey in country and will ensure commentary for hockey events and matches whenever they are held.
Chief Executive Islamabad United, Syed Ali Naqvi said that Radio Pakistan is a great national broadcasting institution and we are very glad on signing MoU regarding Media Partnership for PSL. He termed this partnership a positive omen ,which will promote game of cricket in country.
He said that eighty nine foreign players have applied to participate in PSL this year. He said that we are very excited about PSL whose all matches will be played in Pakistan first time.
Spin Bowling Coach of Islamabad United Saeed Ajmal said that international cricket has been revived in country. He said that whole PSL event will be played in Pakistan first time, which is a great thing for future game of cricket in country. He expressed hope that people of twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi will come in great numbers to watch their team’s matches at their home ground Rawalpindi.-PR
