RAWALPINDI, January 15: Pakistan Army’s rescue and relief operations are underway in the affected areas of Neelam Valley, Gilgit and Balochistan. According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), army helicopters are delivering relief goods, tents, blankets, rations, medicines and prepared food to the victims. According to the ISPR, military personnel, the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and the civil administration are taking joint steps and the Karakoram Highway, Jaglot and Skardu highways are now open to traffic at various points.
Earlier, Army Chief directed Pak Army to provide assistance amid ravaging snowfall and expressed grief over the loss of lives owing to the heavy snowfall which has ravaged the parts of Azad Kashmir and Balochistan.-Agencies
