Iran is not a nuclear power like Pakistan. It has a good army but not as trained and professionally sound as Pakistan’s. The question is : how come then it bares it teeth to Washington? The answer to this question is quite simple. It is blessed with a leadership which is impeccably honest and which cares more for its country than its own self. It has imbibed to its core the lessons taught to it by its spiritual leader Imam Khomeni. The Americans have been trying to break the will of Irani leadership right from the day Imam Khomeni had taken over the reins of government in Tehran but in vain. It tried its best to destroy it with the help of Sadaam Hussain but it failed miserably.
On the contrary most of our rulers , unlike the Irani leaders turned out to be corrupt morally, financially and intellectually and there is no denying the fact that corrupt persons are always weak. Washington has been fully exploiting their weaknesses for long. A weak person simply cannot call a spade a spade and that is the precise reason why most of our leaders indulged in blind allegiance to the US.
Irani leadership is not the first of its kind to defy Washington. We have examples of North Vietnam leader Ho Chi Minh before us. The Americans with all their might couldn’t tame him and the US forces had to beat a retreat rather ignominiously from North Vietnam. Washington failed to gain a foothold in Cuba as long as Fidel Castro was alive. North Korea is another country which has been defying it since long. Neither Ho Chi Minh nor Castro had atomic bombs and like Iran they too weren’t economically well off but they had the will, courage and gumption not to kowtow to Washington.
