The difference between good and bad governance is that while in the former case, the rulers pre-empt crisis before it occurs , in the latter they are caught by it with their pants down. A classic example of the later case was provided by the recent wheat crisis that hit the country . The rulers made a fool of themselves by the way they handled it. The prime minister has appointed an FIA team to probe into it and fix responsibility. The common belief is that when the rulers want to sweep an issue under the carpet they refer it to a committee or a commission Let us hope the intention of the government is not to protect the delinquent officials responsible for the wheat crisis that brought a bad name to the government but to expose them and then make an example of them by handing down stern punishment to them.

There is a point in the demand being made by a section of society that the persons accused of committing sex crimes with the minors need to be hanged by the lamp post in the city right under the public eye so as to deter the would -be criminals.
